They offer clinics for:

  • Childhood immunisations
  • Foreign travel immunisations & advice
  • Hypertension (blood pressure)
  • ECG’s and Spirometry (lung function)
  • Dressings and removal of sutures (stitches)
  • Cervical smears
  • Family planning
  • Smoking cessation
  • Phlebotomy (blood tests)
  • Chronic disease management (asthma, diabetes, hypertension)
  • Swabs

Wendy Roscoe – Lead Practice Nurse

Wendy is Lead Nurse for the Team. Wendy is also one of the lead nurses for Diabetes and will regularly review this cohort of patients and will monitor new insulin initiation. Other areas that Wendy specialise in is cervical screening, immunisations & asthma / COPD. Wendy is also the Lead for Infection Prevention and Control.

Janet Lundy – Practice Nurse

Janet is our practice nurse who works 4 days per week. Janet specialise in childhood immunisations, contraception, respiratory conditions including asthma and COPD and performing spirometry. Janet also carries out routine treatment room procedures.

Healthcare Assistants

Our qualified Healthcare Assistants run daily clinics both in the mornings and afternoons. They are able to see you for:

  • Phlebotomy (blood tests)
  • Doppler tests
  • ECG’s
  • Dressings (minor)
  • NHS Health Checks
  • Cardiovascular Reviews
  • Hypertension (blood pressure)
  • Diabetic annual checks (foot checks)
  • Immunisations, Seasonal Flu and pneumococcal, B12
  • Removal of stitches

Community Nurses

The community nurses attached to the practice are responsible for visiting and treating patients in their own homes.

Many of those they visit are elderly and have long term problems from degenerative diseases or are terminally ill. Others are confined for only short periods of time during an acute illness or after an operation.
